Prince Escalus
Good Day! I'm Prince Escalus of Verona. It is my job to maintain peace in the city, and I won't tolerate anyone that tries to disturb it. But for as long as I can remember, the feud between the Capulets and the Montagues has not only disturbed the peace of my city. But it has also cost the lives of a lot of my citizens.
As much as I've tried, the feud between the two houses has not come to an end. I know I am the prince, but I can't just put aside my other duties as prince. I will not waste my time trying to end a fight that I don't know the cause of.
I am just waiting for the day when the two families realize that their fight is pointless and wrong. And they will eventually stop fighting. But until then, I just want to make Verona a safe place to live for everyone.
